  • I don't really remember how this character came about, but once I started, it was like I couldn't stop. I had about four Dave the Dead Dog stories in Frenzy, more than any other character I came up with, and I had plenty more I could've done. Once the first Frenzy book was done, I had plans on making a second book and created a story called 'Dave the Dead Dog Goes Camping' and a painted cover illustration to go along with it. It would've been a book full of various stories, not just Dave, but I also came up with this super-cool full-length comic book featuring nothing but Dave the Dead Dog in which Dave and his nameless owner gets abducted by aliens. Unfortunately the first Frenzy book and good ol' Dave were sent around to various publishers with no results and wasn't paying the bills, so he and others were sent to the dustbin of history. The story just never happened.

Until you came to this website, read this story and read the comics. Now you know.

Okay, so here's what I have...

  • Dave the Dead Dog Goes to the Vet
  • Dave the Dead Dog Goes Camping
  • Here's the painting that would've been the cover of Frenxy #2 and featuring the lead story, Dave the Dead Dog Goes Camping.
  • Here's another Dave painting for maybe another future cover. This one features him at the beach.
